Dr Milan Protić

Milan Protić, PhD, associate professor at the University of Nis, Faculty of Occupational Safety, has research experience in fire safety and research, thermal engineering, and application of machine learning in renewable energy systems. He is the head of the Fire protection laboratory at the Faculty of Occupational Safety https://www.znrfak.ni.ac.rs/FPL/. He is the author of more than 50 papers, out of which 12 were published in international journals with an impact factor. He is the subject editor of the journal: Scientific Papers of the Main School of Fire Service. He has been working as a reviewer for twelve international scientific journals, most of them with impact factors. He has been involved in the implementation of seven international projects: COST, ERASMUS+, Interreg IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programmes, CEI Cooperation Activities, and five scientific projects financed by national Ministries. He was part of the team that won the award “From Research to Enterprise“, provided by the Central European Initiative (CEI). He was a member of scientific committees at eleven international conferences. Currently, he is a member of the Erasmus+ project “Transport of Dangerous Goods - Modernization of Curricula and Development of Trainings for Professionals in the Western Balkans HEIs”, taking part in ongoing COST Action CA18135 - “Fire in the Earth System: Science & Society” and national project supported by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development entitled “Environmental and Economic Aspects of Application of Polygeneration Systems Based on Renewable Energy Sources.

Dr Milan Gocić

Milan Gocić, PhD, full professor at the University of Nis, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, has research experience in data mining and analysis of hydrological hazards. He is the author of more than 150 papers, out of which 40 were published in international journals with impact factor. He worked as a Guest Editor for the Special Issue of Advances in Meteorology (“Hydrological Hazards in a Changing Environment: Early Warning, Forecasting, and Impact Assessment”) and as a reviewer for twenty international scientific journals. He took part in 12 international projects: COST, Erasmus+ CBHE KA2, CEI Cooperation Activities, and Horizon Europe. He was a coordinator of six international. Currently, he is a member of the Management Committee of the COST Action CA20138 supported by the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe entitled “Network on water-energy-food nexus for a low-carbon economy in Europe and beyond (NEXUSNET)”. He has an experience in the coordination of two Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE projects: NatRisk (573806-EPP-1-2016-1-RSEPPKA2- CBHE-JP) and SWARM (597888-EPP-1-2018-1-RSEPPKA2- CBHE-JP).

Dr Evica Jovanović

Prof. Evica Jovanović obtained his academic degrees at the Faculty of Occupational Safety, University in Niš: Graduate Environmental Safety Engineer (Dipl. Ing.) in 2001, Magister of Technical Sciences - Environmental Protection Engineering in 2007, and Doctor of Technical Science – Occupational Safety Engineering in 2011. Presently she is employed as Full Professor at the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety, Department of System Research in Safety and Risk. During his academic career, she has been teaching more than seven academic courses on all three study levels (BSc, MSc, and PhD). She is the author of more than 100 papers, out of which 13 were published in international journals with an impact factor. Her research experience covers Risk Assessment, Human Reliability Assessment, Reliability and Safety, Ergonomics. She has been involved in the implementation of five scientific projects financed by national Ministries; the reviewer is various publications, such as monographs, and scientific papers published in national and international scientific journals; co-advisor of the PhD thesis on Doctoral Program in Occupational Safety and Health of the University of Porto (DemSSO). She is the Vice-Dean for teaching at the Faculty of Occupational Safety, Vice-chairman of Serbian Ergonomics Society, Member of the European Society of Safety Engineers and Member of the International Ergonomics Association

Dr Snežana Živković

Snežana Živković, PhD, Full Professor, obtained her academic degrees at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, and Faculty of Occupational Safety, University of Niš: BSc (Psychologist, major in Psychology of Work) in 1998, MSc in 2001, and PhD in 2004. Presently she is employed as Full Professor at the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety, Department for Social Development and Humanisation of Working and Living Environment. During her academic career, she has been teaching more than ten academic courses on all three study levels (BSc, MSc, and PhD). She is the author and co-author of more than 250 scientific papers in refereed journals and at international/national conferences. She is a member of the editorial board of the journals: Economics of Sustainable Development and Ekonomika. Her research experience covers the protection of the living and working environment, occupational safety, work psychology, psychology of groups, organizational behavior, management and human resources, and emergency management. She has been involved in the implementation of two international projects: one COST and one ERASMUS+, and three scientific projects financed by national line Ministries. Currently, she is a member of the ongoing COST Action CA20138 - “Network on Water-Energy-Food Nexus for a Low- Carbon Economy in Europe and beyond” and coordinator of one national project supported by the Serbian line Ministry.

Dr Tamara Rađenović

Tamara Rađenović, PhD, Assistant Professor, earned MA in Finance and Investments with Merit from Nottingham University Business School, the UK in 2007, and a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, Serbia in 2018. From 2011 to 2018 she was a Teaching Assistant for Public Sector Economics at the Faculty of Economics, and from 2020 she is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Occupational Safety, Department for Social Development and Humanisation of Working and Living Environment, teaching Safety Economics in undergraduate studies, and Economics of Environmental Protection in master studies. She is the author and co-author of more than 80 scientific papers in refereed journals and at international/national conferences. She is a member of the editorial board of the journals: Economics of Sustainable Development and Ekonomika. Her research experience covers safety economics, environmental protection economics, intellectual capital management, performance management, macroeconomics, economic development, financial markets, public-private partnerships, competitiveness, and real options. She has been involved in the implementation of one international COST project, and three scientific projects financed by national line Ministries. Currently, she is an MC member and WG5 co-leader of the ongoing COST Action CA20138 - “Network on Water-Energy-Food Nexus for a Low-Carbon Economy in Europe and beyond” and a team member of one national project supported by the Serbian line Ministry.

Dr Ana Vukadinović

Ana Vukadinović, PhD, Assistant Professor, graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Niš. She completed her PhD studies at the Faculty of Occupational Safety in Niš in 2020. and obtained a PhD degree in the scientific field of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Safety. Presently she is employed as Assistant Professor at the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety, Chair of Occupational and Environmental Quality. At the Faculty of Occupational Safety in Niš, she is a member of the Fire Protection Laboratory, Laboratory for Work Environment Comfort, Centre for Capacity Building in Environmental Protection, and Office for International Cooperation. Ana Vukadinović has published more than 20 papers in international and national journals, whereof 6 papers are listed in the SCI index of Clarivate Analytics. She also presented over 35 papers at international scientific conferences and 2 papers at national scientific conferences. Her research interests comprise Building energy performance, Building simulation, Bioclimatic architecture, Thermal comfort, Pollutant emissions, Environmental engineering, and Risk Assessment. She participated in project TR 33035, the Development, implementation, optimization, and monitoring of the network modular rotating photovoltaic system with a power of 5 kW, funded by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. She was a member of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES)

Dr Srđan Glišović

Prof. Srdjan Glišović, PhD graduated from the University of Nis (Mechanical Engineering), and holds PhD from the University of Novi Sad (Environmental Science). Currently, he is tenured as a Full Professor at the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety where he occupies the position of Dean, since 2021. Dr Glisovic received training in Curriculum Development for Environmental Science Education from Wageningen University, The Netherlands, and in Project Management through the program for Local Economic Development under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His research interests comprise Industrial Ecology, Sustainable Design, Environmental Management, and Circular Economy. He is an author or co-author of over 80 scientific papers published in SCI-refereed journals or international/national conference proceedings. Dr. Glisovic was a member of research teams on various projects under the auspices of the Ministries of Science and Technology, Republic of Serbia or EU (Interreg IPA CBC, ERASMUS+, etc.). He was the national coordinator for the project the Netherlands – West Balkans Environmental Network under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, The Netherlands, and a Municipal Support Expert under EU sponsored project MSP-IPA 2007. Repeatedly, he has been designated Lecturer of the International Summer Schools organized by the Board of European Students of Technology. Also, he was twice Invited Lecturer at International Training Workshops on Environmental and Occupational Health in the framework of the project "Training and Research in Environmental Health in The Balkans, under the auspices of The Institute of International Health, Michigan State University, USA. As of November 2018, Dr. Glisovic is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Safety, University of Porto, Portugal (under the auspices of The Portuguese Society of Occupational Safety and Hygiene), ISSN: 2184-0954. Dr. Glisovic was a mentor, chairman, or member of the Committees for the defense of several doctoral dissertations at universities in, Serbia, Bosnia, and Spain

Dr Miomir Raos

Prof. Miomir Raos, Full Professor, graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University in Niš in Niš (1990), majoring in Thermal engineering. He completed his Master's thesis at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University in Niš, at the Department of Thermal Engineering, in 1999. He obtained his doctoral degree at the Faculty of Occupational Safety, University in Niš, in 2008. Presently he is employed as Full Professor at the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety, Department of Energy Processes and Safety. He is also head of the Laboratory for Occupational Comfort. He is the author and co-author of several publications, monographs, and textbooks, as well as several scientific and professional papers published in referenced international and domestic journals and presented at domestic and foreign scientific and professional meetings. As a researcher, he is a participant in several scientific research projects financed by the relevant ministry of the Republic of Serbia and several international projects within the framework of various programs financed by the European Union. Prof. Miomir Raos participated in the work of several scientific, program, and organizational committees of scientific meetings organized by Faculty and various scientific research organizations in the region. During his academic career, he has been teaching several academic courses on all three study levels (BSc, MSc, and PhD). His research experience covers Occupational Thermal Comfort, Thermal engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy, and Environment. He has been involved in the implementation of six international projects: ERASMUS+, Interreg IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programmes, Euraxess, and four scientific projects financed by national line Ministries. Currently, he is a member of the Erasmus+ project “Transport of Dangerous Goods - Modernization of Curricula and Development of Trainings for Professionals in the Western Balkans HEIs”

Dr Viša Tasić

Viša Tasić, PhD, Principal Research Fellow obtained his academic degrees at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Faculty of Occupational Safety, University in Niš: BSc (Electronic engineering, major in Electronic and Telecommunication) in 1992, MPhil in 2003, and PhD in 2008. Presently he is employed as Principal Research Fellow at the Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor, Department of Science. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific papers in refereed journals and at international/national conferences. His research experience covers Process Control Systems, Air Quality Monitoring, Air Pollution Studies, Low-cost Sensors, and Monitors. He has been involved in the implementation of six international projects: COST, HORIZON, Interreg IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programmes, and seven scientific projects financed by national Ministries. He was a member of scientific committees at ten international conferences. Currently, he is a member of the HORIZON project “Research Reinforcing in the Western Balkans in Offline and Online Monitoring and Source Identification of Atmospheric Particles.

Dr Dejan Vasović

Dejan Vasović PhD, Associate Professor, obtained all of his academic degrees at the Faculty of Occupational Safety, University in Niš: BSc (Environmental protection engineering, major in Environmental noise) in 2006, MPhil in 2011, and PhD in 2016. Presently he is employed as Associate Professor at the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety, Department of Occupational and Environmental Quality. He is also vice-head of the Laboratory for Water Protection. During his academic career, he has been teaching more than ten academic courses on all three study levels (BSc, MSc, and PhD). He is the author and co-author of more than 50 scientific papers in refereed journals and at international/national conferences. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal: Frontiers in Environmental Engineering. He is a member of three international professional associations relevant to the project topic. His research experience covers environmental protection, water resources management, and the application of system standards in the field of occupational and environmental quality. He has been involved in the implementation of two international projects: one COST and one ERASMUS+, and three scientific projects financed by national line Ministries. Currently, he is a member of the ongoing COST Action CA20138 - “Network on Water-Energy-Food Nexus for a Low-Carbon Economy in Europe and beyond” and coordinator of one national project supported by the Serbian line Ministry
